What this species needs

Water when the top layer of soil feels dry. Ficus tolerates some drought but prefers consistent moisture. Mist leaves regularly to increase humidity, especially indoors.
Prefers bright indirect light but adapts well to lower light conditions. Avoid direct midday sun which can scorch leaves. Can be placed outdoors in summer in partial shade.
Use a well-draining mix of akadama, pumice, and lava rock in equal parts. Good drainage is essential to prevent root rot. Repot every 2 years in spring.
Thrives between 15-30°C. Does not tolerate frost, bring indoors when temperatures drop below 10°C. Avoid cold drafts and sudden temperature changes.
